NEWS - March 26, 2006 ++++Back from the road with a blood on our fists and a hunger in our collective belly. Tour was most excellent and we are ready to drop a record upon the world from the top of mt. olympus. Thee slattismus dorsii has penned a number tunes with titles such as:

There's been a rumor that someone has started a Slats "fan" site over at Tagworld. Seems they snuck into the studio to steal some photos and other paraphenalia. Go give them a what's for about it. We don't countenance theft. It's just not right!

+++++Thee Slatissimus Dorsi have been sequestered at Red Tape II this summer in the bowels of Mt Olympus working on the follow-up to Pick It Up. This Slab of 16-bit goodness is going to rock scrap-style...w/plenty of Hot Lava guitar tones to stick in your craw. You see, this brand of skronk is sounding less and less like guitars, and more and more like red/orange, hot, molten slag-style lava. The rock creature friends of ours that are indigenous to the Olymp, the Rgggggrxxzzzz, have been venturing back up to the surface for us to secure more rolls of Quantegy 499 1/2 inch tape from Ebay while we stay hard at work, deep below. We will brand this tape with our the Slats Brand TM®® roc. Drum sounz are sure to be mired in lava goo as well.
There WILL however be a couple breaks here and there to bring the rock live. In Aug, Sept, Oct, we will hop into our 18-Megaton Drill Apparatus and bore our way to the surface. We will appear here:

+++++So, Latest Flame is coming out with a compilation CD with TWO (2) songs from your very own boys - THE SLATS. It's coming out in June and will feature songs from: Crime & Judy, Dutch Courage, The Gunshy, Troubled Hubble, and some others. Should be pretty great. +++++Our good friend Mr. Mike has recently been elected mayor of Mt. Holly, MN. Currently they are in dire need of good bands in Mt.
